Connect your PSP to your computer using the USB cable and create a folder named VIDEO in the root of your memory stick.

First you need to rip the DVD into a single VOB file. The quickest and easiest way is to use DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 (freeware).
After installing DVD Decrypter, here´s a how to rip your DVD into a single VOB file: |

Download and install "Real Alternative"
Start Notepad, then copy and paste the yellow line below and change the path to your realmedia file:
DirectShowSource("C:\path\to\your.rmvb", fps=29.97, convertfps=true)
Save it as: some_cool_video.avs
Start PSPVC, click "Source" and select some_cool_video.avs

The official firmware from sony have a maximum bitrate of 768kbps. Convert the video again but with a lower bitrate and lower the tolerance as well, or set it to "Off".

Well, the speed depends on how fast computer you have, if you´re using the H264 codec, how high bitrate you´re using etc.
If your computer is equiped with a Core 2 Duo processor, you can speed things a bit up by using the "Threads" feature from the "Advanced" section.
If you dont care much about the visual quality, then you can disable the "H264" codec, this will increase the speed a lot, but then the quality will suffer. |

You need to select a video (soure) before you can access the audio and video options. Click on the "Source" button and select a video you want to convert. |

If the letters in your language does´nt look right, you need to change your systems locale settings to your language. Do like this:
Open the "Control Panel"
Open the "Regional and Language Options"
Click on the "Administrative" tab
Click on the "Change system locale" button and select your language
Then click "OK" and restart your computer to make the changes take effect. That´s it :) |
